Welcome to Lackawanna Community Solar
You Save Money while Supporting Local Solar Energy
Reduce Utility Bills: By subscribing to a community solar program, you save money on your monthly utility bills. The solar credits you receive are applied directly to your bill, reducing your overall energy costs.
Subscribe to a Solar Farm: As a participant in a community solar program, you subscribe to a portion of a local solar farm, which is a large array of solar panels installed in a shared location. These farms generate electricity that is fed into the local power grid.
Receive Energy Credits: The electricity produced by the solar farm is credited to your utility account based on your share of the solar farm’s output. This means you receive the benefits of solar energy without the need for solar panels on your property.
Solar panels are installed at a site in your community.
The clean energy is then fed into the local power grid.
You continue to get electricity from your utility, with no need to install or maintain panels on your property.
As a program participant, you receive credits on your electric bill at no cost to you.
